Oh My, It has been an extremely long time since I have blogged.  I’m really sorry that it has taken me so long to do it.  I can give excuses that I am too busy (which I am) but there is no excuse for not doing something for God.  I am ashamed that I asked for a blog and then have only blogged a couple of times.  So much has happened since the last time.  I am in my final semester of school at GTCC and will be graduating on May 8th (God willing).  Then I finally got a job at a child care center that I enjoy being at.  I love the children and I feel that this is where God wants me to be.  I will be getting married on July 26th and am planning all kinds of things for it.  Mikel and I are also looking for a house that is affordable, and in a nice neighborhood.  We are not having that much luck.  We have run across a house in Randleman and hopefully it will work out.  We are going to look at it on Wednesday so everyone be praying that it will be a good house.  God has done so much for me in the time that I have not blogged.  I finally got a job.  The best part of my job (Other than being with the children) is that I have found a fellow christian sister to talk with on the regular basis.  I am so blessed to have her as a co-worker because talking with her helps me to be closer to God because she is closer to God than I am.  I am so glad God put Anna in my life because without her a work I really wouldn’t have anything in common with my other co-workers.  I am just so filled with joy that I just want to say,

“Thank you God for all the blessings you give to me.  Thank you for the people you put in my life that I needed that I didn’t even know that I needed.  Thank you for the struggles and battles that I go through because I know that you are there even in the Vally’s and that I will be a stronger Christian one I make it to the top of the mountain.  I just want to thank you for the church and the wonderful revival that we are having.  Thank you Lord for your blessings on us.  I want to continue praying for all of those that we have lost and those loved ones that are not saved.  I pray that those that left will find a church to go to and stay with you.  I also pray that our lost loved ones will be saved before it is too late.  Help me to be a witness to those who know you and even more to those that don’t know you.  Help me to be like your son so that everyone around me will know that I am different and that I am your child.”

A couple of weeks ago I was invited by a friend of mine form high school to go to a rodeo that her church was sponsoring.  I went mainly because I had not hung out with her since we had graduated and felt it would be great to go out with her because all through school she never let it fell to let you know that she was a christian.  We went to the rodeo.  It was a christian based rodeo and it was held at the Cowboy Church in Archdale, North Carolina.  This church was started just for the farmers that lives in that area.  It meets every Tuesday night at 6:00pm so that farmers are able to attend church services.  Most of the time they are able to attend a Sunday morning service because they are having to milk the cows or do their daily duties that have to be done.  When we got to the rodeo Dana and I where standing in line to get in and someone asked us if we wanted a horse shoe we said no.  When we got in we found her family and the rodeo got started.  They opened with The Pledge of Allegiance and prayer.  They had a comedy act, barrel racing, another event that I can not remember what it was called, and bull riding.  In between each event a singing group called Revelation would sing a couple of songs to give the people time to set up for the next event.  The music was great and they were all songs that I knew.  There were a lot of the old hymns.  Before the bull riding the preacher of the Cowboy Church went into the arena and gave a quick sermon and gave an alter call.  There were some people that gave their lives to the lord and some that rededicated their lives that night.  After that the bull riding started.  The third or fourth guy out was thrown off of the bull and the bull trampled on him.  He was laying still and the paramedics were there looking at him when the preacher asked that everyone get quiet and say a little prayer for this boy.  He said a prayer over the loud speaker while I prayed for him silently.  It was amazing because if you were attending a regular rodeo that would have never happened.  The boy was OK.  His head had been cu by the hoof of the bull but other than that he was OK.  We left after that and went to Wendy’s for ice cream.  We talked about what all we had done since we had graduated.  I found out things I had never known about Dana and I respected her for everything that she told me.  I realized that she is a friend that I need to keep close to me.

Thank you Lord for letting me realize that I have a friend that I can talk to openly about you and not feel like I am preaching to them.  Thank you also for letting get back into touch with Dana and help me to get together with her more often.

                                          In Jesus Name. Amen

Hello everyone.  My name is Miranda Lawson and I am a member of this wonderful church.  I am 21 years old and have been a born again christian for about eight years now.  I am the junior Sunday school teacher and my mom and I do children’s church once a month.  I really enjoy working with little children.  I am attending Guilford Technical Community College with a major in Early Childhood Education.  I am blessed by God everyday in some way.  Today I found out that I am getting financial aid to fund my last year at GTCC.  It i a blessing because I am not working anywhere and my family needs help paying for my college.  I am also blessed to have grown up in such a loving family and better than that a christian family.  I remember when my parents were not saved.  My grandmother would take my brother and me to church on Sunday’s.  My parents eventually came to Christ and then my brother and then me.  I have not been through the tough time that some of our church members have been but I fill that is the way God wanted it to be.  I was never offered drugs or alcohol in school.  I was never picked on by people in school except once in my senior year because of a boy.  I can say that my life has been blessed from the beginning.  When my mom was pregnant with me the doctors said that I could be born missing a limb, be a water-head baby, or even still born.  God didn’t want that for me or my parents and made me a “Perfect Angel” (Perfect maybe not).  I have come a long way in my twenty-one years and I am thankful for every day that God has given me.
